So the Monaco GP starts at 7:30. I know the normal race is on NBC, but our NBC channel is showing the local news broadcasters exploring the Indy 500 for many hours instead of the race. NBCSN doesn't rebroadcast the race till 10:30. Why?! It sucks to live in Indiana.

I'm guessing your programming guide simply hasn't been updated properly. Tune in to/ DVR regular NBC tomorrow morning. I'm betting it'll be there for you.

Yup, my local NBC channel is showing the race. Now I know what to turn on when I wake up tomorrow! (And they are showing some hockey tonight! And Rally this afternoon! yay!)

You know, if I had just graduated high school and was heading off to get an engineering degree, and lived in Indiana I would be hitting up indycar to see if they had any internships for the summer. Also, McKinney Corp is up by you. They build NHRA top fuel cars. One of my buddies got his start in racing there. He now works for Indy car as an engineer/official.

Reminds me of the 24 Hours of Daytona. The local Fox affiliate thought it more appropriate to run a basketball game between two no name ACC teams and air the first two hours of the race on tape delay while the second two hours were airing live on FS2 (not that I had FS2, anyway), and there was no other way to watch the full race live even if you were willing to pay extra.
